Not Your Mother's® Beach Babe™ Texturizing Sea Salt Spray-Review #3!

Also recieved compliments of Influenster in the Sweetheart Voxbox, was the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. (That's a mouth full!) Check out the info for this product on the Influenster product page. (: http://www.influenster.com/review/not-your-mothers-beach-babe-texturizing-sea-salt-spray

Influenster says: "Now every day can be a day at the beach or, at least your hair can look like it has been there! Rock a sexy beach look and get texturized with tousled waves! No frizz or fly-aways - embrace your hair’s natural waves and let Not Your Mother’s BEACH BABE™ do the rest.

Infused with natural Dead Sea salt & sea kelp this salon formula has everyone fooled into thinking you just left the beach. It adds sexy, windswept waves and a light matte finish to any hair type.

PRODUCT FACTS
- Creates random texture and waves
- Gives flat styles more volume
- Adds more hold to up dos
- Sea Kelp helps add natural shine to hair

STYLING TIPS & EFFECTS
It’s super easy to use – just spritz onto damp or dry hair then use fingers to create random waves and body (or for ultra-volume use a diffuser and lightly blow dry)."

I was excited to try this stuff out. I heard about it before, but hadn't seen it in stores. It has a nice beachy smell but I don't think it worked for my hair type. I sprayed it on my hair after I got out of the shower, and it made my hair feel matted and sticky. It didn't make it wavy, just frizzy, which coincidentally is exactly what happens when I go to the beach. Maybe it will work for your hair type? Let me know below in the comments! This spray retails for $6 at your local drugstore or Ulta.

Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response

Secret has added a brand new product to their clinical strength line. This new product, as you can see in the title, is called "Clinical Strength Stress Response." With a fresh, citrus scent, this deodorant promises protection against your stressful situations as far as sweat goes. ;D

I think this product does work some, but not as well as I expected it to. It smells great, like I've mentioned already. The scent lasts for a long time, but I don't think it works any better than any other type of deodorant I've used before. I still sweat after walking across campus to classes, regardless of whether I use this or the clinical strength version. This is also a bit more expensive. It retails for around $9 at your local drugstores such as CVS, Walgreens, or RiteAid. The smaller size may also deter you from trying it out, but on a scale of 1-10, I will give it an 8. Try it out and let me know what you think below in the comments! (:

Olay Fresh Effects Cleansing System

So, long time, no post! This is a new review for another product Influenster sent last month with the Sweetheart VoxBox. This product was called the Olay fresh effects powered contour cleansing system. According to  www.olayfresheffects.com,

"Use this cleansing system for full-face cleansing:

• Power brush deep cleans in and around your T-zone, hairline, and nose
• Super-soft bristles gently massage your skin, revealing a healthy-looking glow"

Influenster says: "Olay Fresh Effects keeps skin sparkling from morning till night! The six cleansers and moisturizers offer all-day freshness, and can be mixed and matched for a totally unique experience. The simple yet effective formulas will spruce up your beauty routine, for a long-lasting, beautiful look."

This product was alright. I don't really consider it anything special. I do think it depends on what your skin type is whether or not it will actually work. It definitely cleaned my face, but it was so harsh, it dried it out. Olay does offer a complete skin care line to go with this cleansing system, so you can buy the moisturizer if you want, but I kind of feel like it's a scam. It has a nice clean scent and the battery powered cleansing tool is shower friendly. You can find this product at your local CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, Kroger, any drugstore really, for about $13 for the starter kit. The full size cleanser is about $8. Try it out for yourself! (:
